If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).
Collections are a JPG+ feature. You must be a JPG+ member to create new collections and to add photos to collections.

This is a photo of the wonderful Hassan who was our taxi driver during our visit to Egypt.
However we were so lucky to meet him as he was much more than a taxi driver, he was a lovely gentle man who was so willing to talk about his country, it's history and customs and we learned so much more from him than we did from our travel books
He was a real gentleman and arrived each morning with a flower for my self and my sister. As you can see in the shot we were baking in the sun but Hassan was wrapped in layers of clothing, it was their winter and he was feeling cold even though it was hotter than any of our summers in Ireland. Hassan did not recognize the word rain and when he finally understood what we were talking about he said he saw some once in Cairo, Conor thought this was very amusing.
So our time in Hassan's company was very educational and a great pleasure, and should we ever be lucky enough to return to his wonderful country we will certainly be hoping to make contact with him. We will never forget him and his Egyptian life!!
