When Henry Hudson came up the Hudson, he did so on something that looked like this.
Unlike the purists in this boat, Hudson had twin 800 cc engines and Fastrack radar on board, which was needed to outrun the cigarette boats used by the native americans.

Hmmmm......guess I'd better go back and re-read my history books. I must have skipped over the 'features of the boats' chapter!! Fabulous shot----new lens??

Crisp, clear, and silly. In other words...perfect! Is this the bridge near Poughkeepsie?

Moments after this gripping picture was snapped, Harvey Carstairs, the ship's "Henry Hudson" re-enactor showed his "full moon" out the stern window of this replica ship, making further photography "difficult."

Just did some "off-Google" searching and learned that Henry Hudson also employed ...and I quote, "...successfully employed a human water cannon from the stern port of his ship to keep the wiley native's zodiac-type boats at bay." It's amazing what one can find on the Internet these days...
