I thought these were called "Bleeding Hearts" hence the title. I now know they are fuchsias.
Gym rats are fond of saying that "Pain is weakness leaving your body."
Heartache is love leaving your life.
I lost someone very dear to me. They didn't die, just left my life. It hurts in a way that is unmatched by physical pain. It rends the heart.
People always say it gets better over time but I don't believe that. I think each heart break takes a little bit away from your capacity to love. It hardens the area around where it was broken off, a scar that never goes away. Other parts of your heart can love and even grow with love, but that part is gone and the scar will never go away.
