I read once that a red filter would be good to use in black & white film for obtaining more contrast. I did not use film for this picture but thought the concept would also work with my Nikon 40 DX. From the red filter I worked with this picture in my Adobe Photoshop to create a black & white version,
leaving just enough color tone to give it a pink cast.. It was raining today and I was standing in the front doorway when I shot this self timer with the camera on a tripod inside of the house. This is just a practice shot for my daily diary series and I will use something else for creating a homemade filter for the challenge, as homemade is a requirement..
