Captured this shot of Fred (my husband) working on the fourth green just before I took the abstract shot posted before this one. There is a real art to shaping fairways, tees, greens, and bunkers. Golf course shapers work from plans and sketches with indicated elevation changes and much of what they create is done by eye and feel. It takes a real artist on a bulldozer to not only get golf balls to roll the way they're intended, but to make what they sculpt to look like Mother Nature put it there. Because of his position with RTJII, golf course architectural firm, Fred rarely has much opportunity to shape, but on this project he's doing a lot and loving it. While he was shaping this hole there was the risk of the dozer sliding into the lake.
