The sparrows have attacked my bluebird house again.... just days before they were to hatch, this is what I found yesterday evening when I went out to check on them :( These two were on the gound and the nest was empty.

I've done MORE research and discovered a way to "sparrow proof" the bluebird houses..... I will be working on that this evening.... so maybe, just maybe they will lay another set of eggs and NOT be bothered by the sparrows.

OH NO!!!!!!!!!! This is so heartbreaking. I hope that you can sparrow proof the bird house and get more eggs. Sparrows are a real nuisance, they take over my Purple Martin houses before the Martins can move in and it aggravates me so much!!!

  • Andrea Petersen

Oh I am sorry ....What a disappointment! I am surprised that these sparrows are so hard on bluebirds.....With sparrows killing at that rate it would cut down the bluebird population.
