Raccoon Pecking Order ~ 1 of 2

One day I must learn the rules these raccoons live by. Its 1:30 pm when most wise coons
should still be in bed, but no, these two are up and about. The Coon on the left was
apparently eating first. The other coon was behind the board (door). While the first coon
(left) was drinking the other coon came out and ate a bit, but was sent to the side. The
first coon to arrive had been growling at the second coon a great deal before it finally
slipped out. At this moment the newcomer is really being verbally abused as you can see
by its submissive position. Finally it was able to eat from a second bowl I had placed
there, away from the other bowl. The second coon looks to me, to be bigger than the first
coon. I do not know the rules, but I will say ~ they seem to understand them quite well.
No wonder I am not seeing them at night. They seem to be coming in the afternoon!!!
New Rules perhaps?

They usually do come out at night but I have seen the occasional one during the day. Great shot!

Maybe they're coming early to avoid the crowds later! You know the early bird gets the worm!
