Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. Proverbs 20: 11

From the time we were children my only sister, Bonnie, three years older than myself was exceptionally talented in music. She was my role model growing up and she still is. She has been teaching Music to Middle School and High School Students in Colorado for 20 years and will be retiring in 2010 at 69 years old. She stopped at our place on the way to see our mother who she will be staying with for 6 weeks. Our mother will be 100 years old in July.... .Bonnie and her daughter Christy & Christy's two young sons will all be using their talents in supplying the music for the celebration. I of course will be taking the photographs. Bonnie, is the lady wearing the colorful jacket...She has blue eyes and I have dark brown. We don't look too much alike nor are we too much alike in personality...Bonnie has always been a leader and I am a follower. I was known in the small community where we grew up as the shy sister. Yet the older we get the more we find we have in common...I respect, love and admire my sister for the great person that she is and she means the world to me. (Please read Bonnie's kind words underneath...I forgot to address the other classes that she also teaches which you will read in her comment.).

This is destined to be a family treasure, Andrea. A great portrait of two beautiful sisters. Your mother is so blessed to have the two of you to care for her; and of course the reverse is true..that you are very blessed to still have your mother at nearly 100 years old.

I agree with everyone above. I never had a sister and always wished that I had one, but I had two brothers that I came to love after we grew up : ) How wonderful to have your mom for 100 years and she seems to be in pretty good shape for that age! Your jackets are very colorful and gorgeous as is the lush woods setting behind you : ) I voted yeah!!!

Andrea, Thank you for you very precious kind words you wrote about me under this photo of us! I agree that the older we become the more we have in common. I admire your terrific skills as a photographer! Not only do I teach middle school and high school music, I also teach preschool and elementary music which makes it pre-school through 12th grades. Lots of music of different levels! It is all vocal which helps keep it to that one area.. I really do like this photo of us! Blessings from Bonnie
