yesterday, i met a darvaish and asked him to meet me today for a photoshoot. he never showed up.
while still waiting for him at the Fuji Lab, i asked fellow photographer friend Shahjee (treklens:shahs) if i could photograph him in the studio, he agreed happily to that.
thanks to the studio owner Mr Mumtaz, i was able to concentrate on the composition while he held the softbox for me in different positions and angles.
the shooting was very simple, i chose a low shooting angle and dialed in all the right settings for the studio setup, ISO200, 1/250s, f/13 etc :)
i concieved it as a strong, moody monochrome portrait right from the start and shot in monochrome mode for that matter.
we printed it quickly and shahjee ended up liking it a lot.
i cropped it slightly and am presenting it here for your review :)
thanks :) let's see what you think :)

Astounding portrait. I love the lighting and the angle of the subject with regard to the soft box makes for a nice crisp edge to his face. Excellent work here. I would love to see this cropped to just his face. The detail would be amazing! Thanks for sharing!
