Beautiful capture of a very difficult subject! The blue at the tail end is much more in evidence than on the western variety .. very pretty!

Oh I love the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail's...We used to get them but the last few years we've had a shortage of butterflies....I don't know how I missed seeing this earlier...Beautiful capture!

Beautiful capture.... Let me share what I have learned about photographing butterflies... Try to shot them early in the morning, when it is cooler. They move much slower. When it is warm they are so sporadic. View my photo essay on butterflies...
