Where he hangs his hat...

My amazing paper-artist friend Charlotte invited me to her family's house where she and her husband and father live. It is a French Creole Cottage along Bayou Liberty, built circa 1789 and on the National Register. The sun pours through as the front door opens and blankets her octogenarian father's hats. He never leaves home without one on his head. I like to capture photographs that are distinctive of a person's habits and routines, and this one reminded me of my great grandmother who always said, "Where a man hangs his hat is home."
