For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the
flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away... But the word of the Lord endureth forever...
I Peter 1: 24-25
Life opens to close as a flower,
Stalks spring forth strong and agile..
Clocks tick quickly by the hour
Petals fall away sickly and fragile.
Now foliage is fresh,
Alive and well...
Alas the bloom
Won't always keep,
Their glory to tell
But will lie in grass
To fade into sleep.
The human flesh,
May not be too late
To eternally bloom;
Beyond heavens gate,
If granted a pass
In God's many rooms.

Today I was happy to see the first bloom of our Siberian Irises...My husband's mother before she passed away in 1990 gave us a few transplants of her Irises. She really had a green thumb and I think of her whenever our Siberian Irises begin to bloom.
