It's a bonus post today because I was feeling experimental. I've been having a great time experimenting with the TtV (Through the Viewfinder) effect...and I've been thinking about our trip to Nashville/Sarasota a few years back. The result was a combination of the two.
I'm not quite sure if this is a true TtV or a fake one. I started with a photo I made when my wife and I spent some time in Nashville with friends. I then made a TtV photo of the printed photo (using a Kodak Brownie Reflex as the viewfinder camera and a G10 as the taking camera).
Nevertheless, I then did something I rarely do: really play around in Photoshop to get the final effect.
So here it is, today's bonus photo. It may be a TtV. it may be a fake TtV. It's full of vignetty goodness. It's got more Photoshopping than I normally put out there. It's a fantastic sign from a fantastic place from a fantastic trip. And there is just something about the final product that I really like. So, as I said, here it is.

Arie Koelewyn gave props (29 Aug 2010):
The TtV effect (fake or not) is really appropriate for this place. Hatch Show Print is a place from another time...a letterpress printers dream.
