'Same Sex Marriage'
One of the few couples that were married before Prop 8 and the California Supreme Court's decision to uphold it... They are still married in the State's eyes, but no other couples have that same equality... I hope that someday we all have the same rights.

Great shot John - I am glad someone included this issue in this category - This is a really wonderful shot too by the way. I hope you're back...;-) It kind of seems like it.

it really does seem like such a simple thing, I don’t really understand why the state (any state) would not allow it. but honestly there are many things that government does that baffles me. I agree with Nels, it’s an important addition to this theme!

I actually did a speech on this topic in school. I was for the legalization of gay marriage...I couldn't believe how close minded and ridiculous some people were when I interviewed them. No one has to be a christian or a member of any religion to get married. If atheists can marry in court, why couldn't a gay person? And I could keep going, but I'll leave it at that. Thanks for this entry.
