Brooklyn, NY (Summer Solstice)
First day of summer, Coney Island, Brooklyn. Despite threatening skies and unseasonably cool temperatures, skin is perpetually in along this boardwalk know for its throw caution to the wind attitude. Disappointed from having just missed the annual Mermaid Parade (a rather free-spirited celebration of the summer solstice, NY style), my mood lifted when I bumped into this kind gentleman––a walking, talking parade unto himself.

The composition and tones of this are wonderful. I love how you captured the detail of him but also got the action on the beach adding even more interest.
