Contaí Port Lairge ( Co. Waterford)
This is an Irish Language speaking area in Co. Waterford.
Areas such as this are known as a Gaeltacht.
People in these areas speak Irish or Gaelic as it's called by people from outside Ireland or Gaeilge if you are Irish.(Bearla is English by the way) Thousands of students spend time in these areas during the summer to brush up on their spoken word.
It's a nice place and I enjoyed my swim from the pier, there is a pub just above the harbour if you are so inclined, the shop is about two km away if it's an ice cream you'll be wanting (ma bhfuil uachtar reoite ag teastáil úat)
