OMG, so different from the Minnie Pearl wearing the hat with price tag in my Grand Ole Opry book dating from the 1970's. This is an INCREDIBLE image, so genuine and unstaged. When was this taken?

Some of the most humble people in the world are those that have nothing. I visited Ecuador about a year ago. While I toured the country I did not see a single unhappy face.
These people have the right to be misreable and unhappy, yet they are happier than anyone else. -

These are amazing photos. I grew up in the South, but nothing as rural as this. Hard to believe people still live this way. These photos remind me of my great-grandfather's photos of the Depression. Very powerful. Well done, you!
