In the Bengali society, it is considered important for a girl child to learn singing and dancing right from childhood. This tradition is age old and considered a precious one. It is well followed till today and one might find a majority of Bengali girls who either sing or dance, or used to sing and dance once in childhood. This picture shows Bengali girl children in a common dance programme that almost every colony hosts with its local girl children. Girls - a child or an adult - is considered the seat of art by Bengalies.
