Alone in Calcata

This unique Italian village attracts film makers, photographers, and tourists from around the world. The day Fred and I happend upon this town on our way to another, we only came across two aging ponytailed men, two women, and a sleeping puppy. That puppy is on the stairs of this medieval church.

In the Calcata photo essay.

It does have a feeling of abandonment but still a peaceful type of solace. Wonderful lighting and perfect for the theme.

There is such simple beauty in the crumbling, colorful architecture.
