This was taken in Ho Chi Minh City, while eating dinner at a family restaurant on the 3rd floor. To get to the 3rd floor, we had to walk through two family homes (while the odd person was watching TV), up slippery narrow stair cases which were barely wide enough to fit just one of us. The process of getting up there felt tricky enough. The view was worth it however - we had a fabulous evening with the balcony to ourselves while watching the life on the street. This was late in the evening and the streets were quieting down a tad.

Ho Chi Minh city has the thrill of danger everywhere you go. Dodging scooters and taxis, weaving between kids playing limbo on the streets, and even workmen teetering precariously on ledges to paint the side of a building with no equipment except a couple of bamboo poles for balance. The danger here was the incredibly overloaded powerlines that everone relies on for their income. It is quite a sight!

The danger of the place is what gives Ho Chi Minh the magic we loved.
