  I tend to overdo it with these edit jobs
  but this one came out just subtle enough to make it barely noticeable [the dreaded HDR treatment I mean]
  in any event, I like that I was able to edit these images (7 from my trusty Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2) with open source programs...
