Joe Lisha who owns Precision Pay Phones is the last pay phone owner residing in San Francisco. He once owned about 250 pay phones and now has 80. Most of them now live in his basement because they weren't making money anymore. Here he is repairing a pay phone near Haight Street, which was one of the first he ever owned.

Now if someone was sitting next to the busted phone on their cell, that'd be classic! My mom owns a pay phone, but other than hers I hardly ever see them anymore!

Now that I think about it, I haven't seen a pay phone in a long time. Just last week I saw the shell of one at a park and nothing else. The dirty sidewalk provided an interesting background -- there is lots of grime, paint, and god knows what else...poor old chap.
