My husband stopped to get some gas for our car and when he went into the store to pay the bill I shot this picture through the front window of our car. I could not help but notice these riders were not wearing helmets for their heads but they all had expensive motorcycles..
Each to their own I guess but one blow to the head from falling off these cycles and they could be dead or brain dead.

I like this photo also and I too agree about the helmets. We motorcycled for years and ALWAYS wore a helmet!

Driving without a helmet is very foolish. I had a bike for 8 years and road almost every day all year around. After a few very close calls, three accidents, non of which were my fault, and a friend with a plastic leg after getting hit by a car I gave it up. In fact I know of no long time and frequent bike riders that have not been in at least one accident and hospitalized. They feel it's a free country and their right to act foolishly. I agree with them. By the way I always had a helmet on, the best I could afford. In one of my accidents a car ran a traffic light. I struck the car and put my head throught the windshield, bounced off, and hit the ground. I was hospitalized 7 days. My helmet may have saved my life.

I have lost many friends to motorcycle wrecks. Most of them were not at fault. A great shot for this theme! I do wish they would wear the helmets too.

Super entry and shot, In the current economic climate maybe they cannot afford the helmets haha, on a more serious note they are extremely foolish and is it not against the law?

Certainly economically foolish!! Great capture.

Excellent observation. The driver of a car can be cited for not wearing a seatbelt, but a motorcycle rider needs no belt or helmet. There is a real gap in the logic. Nice shot.

Everyone has made all valid points! A photo is supposed to make us think and your certainly did that.

This says a lot of words and your caption emphazises it more. Here in California, it is a law to wear helment, even on bicycle. Helmet saves life and people riding a motorcyle definitely needs one.

Minnesota and Wisconsin used to have the law that helmets need to be worn for motorcycle riders but unfortunately so many people complained the law was changed...However when they smash their head on the road and become a paraplegic the cost for a life time is beyond what they can pay for it and other people have to pay the tab which is not easy during hard times.
