I have no idea people shaved horses for these events. I hope that's not the reason for those two little open wounds there.

IF you have not been around horses much, you would not beLIEVE what all goes into prepping a horse for a show. They even spray paint their tails with black paint to make them shinier and blacker. That horse was as cool and calm as a cucumber while getting her whiskers shaved off. She won, too! You would not believe how soft those muzzles feel when they are shaved. Like velvet.
