I am who I am

If I were to grasp the truth of this
In the small of the palm of my hand
In the air that you breathe
In the silence that He speaks
In the infinite perfection
Of all He is -
The omnipotent truth of you and me
Here in the universe we share
And in this utter nothingness
Lay bare the creation
Of Him who is without a beginning
Of Him who is without ending
If we come to an understanding
Of the mystery of this love
That defines the purpose of all there is
In you and in me
The heart that bends to beat though in pain
Will rest in Him
Who is the I am who I am
