It is my dear mother's birthday today and she just turned 100 years old...I feel all kinds of emotions today.. Foremost I am happy that she made it to 100...but another part of me wishes she could be younger... life passes too quickly.. My mother summed it up best seven years ago when she was 93....she said age is just a piling up of numbers.
I will be posting more pictures of the celebration held last week in the small church my mother attends and is a member of as soon as I get them organized. The picture I posted here is of the birthday cake Janet, one of the church members made for Mom and it was very good. I managed to take a picture of it before it was cut . I wished I could have taken a picture of Janet cutting the cake at the Senior Center where the reception was held but at the time there was a crowd of people standing in line to eat...
