The buffalos are lined up perfectly on the hillside... Especially love the little ones in a row. That is not always easy to photograph as usually buffalos like to scatter around when they are eating...Great composition and the lighting is beautiful!

this is the most magnificant shot I've seen in a long time. I could look at it forever.

I can see this in mono - don't know why, but the simplicity of the shot, lends itself to that in my minds eye. A simple but effective comp. We have these in Texas too, but the fences are always to high for us to get a good shot of them :-(

When in Yellowstone, human Moms were letting their little ones climb on a fence just a few feet from grazing buffalo. I wanted to shout to them that these guys are wild and not to be taken for granted. People just don't realize. Your shot with these guys on the hill is fantastic. I especially love the babies.

Richard, I hadn't noticed this photo before. I think it is one of your best. The minimalism, color, and POV - create an emotional storyline. Hats off... now we need to find a jpg. theme for this
-
Debrah Leonard gave props (11 Dec 2009):
never mind about the theme... I see it is in The Ones We Love... already hot many times over
-
Arline Grant gave props (20 Dec 2009):
The POV and color is wonderful. What a capture. Something most of us will never see.
