Knights Ferry Covered Bridge, 2007
Knights Ferry, CA. This is where my husband asked me to marry him in 2002. It is one of our favorite local Valley spots, about a 25 minute drive from where we live. See that hill in the background? We climed it once and as we got to the top and over to the other side (where you're not supposed to go) a lightning and rain storm started and we were soaked! Not to mention slightly terrified. It was amazing! If only I would have had my camera with me then.

I love the foreground reflection. As well, I like the use of foliage as a framing device, and the covered bridge forms a good diagonal through the composition. The colors are near impressionistic and the overall scene is quite dreamy.
