I think people take on characteristics of their chosen geography. So, today I wanted to become a sycamore, with a knotted rope attached, so you could swing over a creek and feel the sun flicker over your face under the tree’s canopy. This is my personification.
[a lil about the process on this one:
- took nude photograph in my studio this afternoon
- printed on cheap printer (see yellow frayed edges) on cheap paper
- print taped to kitchen window
- waited for the setting sun to blast through the sycamore leaves
- watched the tree’s shadows dance across my back (or positive space here)
- photographed the photograph w/ dancing shadow
- imported
- uploaded
- bam!
