louis sclavis, clarinet player and smoker
i met louis, one of the most popular jazz clarinet players in europe, in lyon (france) for an interview. we had lunch in a bistrot, under the trees, in a warm spring afternoon. he was nervous, because his former wife's studio was too near. so he smoked more or less 15 cigarettes. he was happy that i didn't take a photo of him playing clarinet. "i saw enough pictures of my blown up cheeks", he said.
