I have recently been really inspired by a couple of fellow JPG-ers -- firstly, by Marco Martinez's story http://jpgmag.com/stories/12369 about the Polaroid camera he's giving away. I began going through the thousands of wonderful Polaroid shots here to choose my favourite as requested, in the hopes of getting the Polaroid shipped to me. I remembered having one as a kid and being completely fascinated by this pre-cursor to the instant age. Wouldn't it be fun to try that again, I thought. The more images I looked at, the more I wanted one. I realized that some of my work was taken with that kind of result in my mind. I can't quite get it right with post-processing.

Then I came across Tremaine Sterling's story http://jpgmag.com/stories/12592/ about the Poladroid program. That looks cool, I thought -- think I'll give it a try. Well that took up a few hours of my life and

I LOVE IT!
But I still want the Polaroid..........

hang on Mario, I think I'm about halfway through all the images and I'll have a favourite soon!

I've never quite understood why so many JPG'ers cling to Polaroid. Now I do. Magnificent series . . . .

I have a leather SX-70, but I don't have any film. I guess you can still get it. I sold polaroids when the roll film cameras were new. I sold SX-70's new.

    I like this shot. Bravo!!!
