Photophilanthropy Presents: Workin' on Wilder

::The mission of Photophilanthropy is to celebrate unsung community leaders through photography and philanthropy.  Through these positive means we hope to inspire others to make change.

Saturday, 8 a.m., August 29th diverse groups of people will gather at the streets of 27th and Wilder to participate in a neighborhood clean-up to celebrate two very strong women, Miss Tonja and Miss Katherine. These women have touched so many lives with their kindness, positive attitude and most importantly, their active engagement in bettering their community by creating a safe place for children to learn. The celebration will involve large-scale photo mural installations, a garden beautification project, live music, keynote speakers, school supply give-away, children's activities, recycling bin distribution and block barbecue.

In order to make this community service project a success, we are throwing a fund-raiser event at the Walnut Room complete with some of Philadelphia's best djs, food, raffles, giveaways, and of course, good people. So mark your calendars for Thursday, 7 p.m., August 13th at the Walnut Room (located above Alfa, 1709 Walnut Street).

Photophilanthropy needs your help to make this day a success.  "Workin' on Wilder" is an opportunity to make a difference in your community.
