For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for my name's sake lead me and guide me...Psalms 31:3

I decided to change my uniform entry of the Amish mother and daughter as I remembered afterwards that they do not care to have their images taken by camera nor do they believe in seeing their images in a mirror according to their religion so I removed it out of respect for their belief... .
This picture was taken in October of 2008 of a waitress at a public Lutefisk Church Supper leading two gentlemen to the supper table. I used manual focus with existing light. .What mainly caught my attention to take this grab shot was of the two men wearing uniform suspenders.

Nice photo Andrea! The gentleman in yellow on the far right looks a lot like my brother-in-law : ). This is a good photo for the uniform challenge, I haven't found any uniformed person yet, except the nurses in the emergency room but I didn't think it was proper to ask one of them to post for me when they had work to do.

You are so thoughtful to have removed the shot out of respect for the Amish beliefs...This is still a way cool entry!

Great shot!! This could also be categorized under "Anticipation." How do YOU feel about lutefisk. Garrison Keillor's description of it keeps me from wanting to try it.

Thank you all for your appreciated comments...Donald, I dearly love lutefisk maybe it stems because my late father whose parents immigrated from Norway instilled the love for it in their family. Many Christmas's as far back as I can remember, it would be a tradition to eat Lutefisk at an Aunt & Uncle's place that we were invited to for dinner. They are no longer living nor is my father but that is a fond memory for me plus the Norwegian prayer that we would say at the table before the meal was served.

I have to ask, what is lutefisk?, I loved your Amish shot but this is equally interesting, a cool entry..

Eithne, here is the definition of lutefisk:

"A traditional Scandinavian dish prepared by soaking air-dried cod in a lye solution for several weeks before skinning, boning, and boiling it, a process that gives the dish its characteristic gelatinous consistency."

Andrea, I love this colorful shot, but can't say I'm eager to try lutefisk. Very thoughtful of you to remove the Amish pic. This one is a great entry.
