This was a K-17 9' X 9" aerial camera with vacuum tube to eliminate vibrations.
This was mounted on a rack which can be vertical or oblique. The rack is in the slip stream.
Another JPEG posting is a ground shot of this bridge.
I had a girlfriend who was with me in Buzzard's Bay at a sandwich shop across from the bridge. She ask, " How does that train go up and over and then back down the bridge without spilling its cargo ? " She wasn't MENSA.
This shot was done when the ice flow was starting to break .

EXCELLENT shot and PERFECT for this challenge. Had this thought - the river is like a blood vessel and the ice is like plaque building up......I’m also thinking that with that comment I’ve proved I’m not MENSA either....it was worth a try though! Great Shot!

Astounding! I am very famlliar with the bridge, but never knew that the canal iced up. Its current is so strong that I didn't realize this could happen??? I know because I used to fish by the canal many years ago.

Blowin' the doors off JPG's Theme Park. I lived in Pocasset when my father was stationed at Otis Air Force Base in the late 50s.
