as the sky slowly turns from a vibrant cerulean to a dimmer cotton-candy pink, a warm breeze ripples the fragrant august air.
palm leaves sigh.
far away, a seabird exhales a beautiful, wretched melody, which mingles with the sound of ships' echoing horns.
your eyes are etched with red tendrils from exposure to salt, and your limbs are aching from the swimming you did earlier, but your mind is gently coasting
like a raft on the still sea.
worries evade your memory.
you soak in the radiance of the moment like a sea sponge,
squeezing every last drop,
smiling.
you relax at last.
how could you not?
you're in aruba.
