Joel Dorn was a record producer who worked with Atlantic records mainly in the 1960's and 70's. He produced everybody from Roberta Flack to Rahsaan Roland Kirk, had platinum records and won Grammys.

Joel had his own label called Hyena Records, where he produced a record by the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey and released a gospel record with his very good friend Lee Freidlander. He also hosted a show on Sirius radio. Joel died on Dec. 17, 2007. This was one of his favorite photogrpaphs.
