Unequal distribution of wealth is one of the most basic problems that this world is facing. I see such examples around me and it makes me wonder what kind of a so-called 'developed' and 'modernised' human civilisation we are living in. This woman and child were moving from one car to another for alms everytime the traffic signal went red. And when I think of my mother and myself alongside this image, I realise how fortunate I had been. There is something wrong with our application of Economics. What good is a civilisation that has not qualified to give the basic needs to every single individual on this planet?
