Future Development
Isn't it great how we keep on transforming farm land into residential areas and industrial parks? Who needs all that corn anyways?

I had a hot picture in this theme. It was showing a beautiful beach in Cuba with a "Storm on the Horizon" (the title also). While the storm might have transformed this paradise for about half an hour, the transformation here goes much deeper. Future development will transform this farm land forever. Cheaply built homes with beautiful brick facades will go up here, so tightly spaced that you can touch two homes at the same time. This kind of transformation has been happening in Peel Region of Southern Ontario for many years now. It is driven by greed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a communist or anything like that. It's the extremes that bother me.

It is sad to see all the beautiful fields and orchards giving way to more empty houses and malls. Great shot and entry.

It may be the future, but it surely isn't development.

Yes, we see the same thing in our town also...Land Developers bought the farm land adjacent to our place and built houses that remind me of army barracks as they all look alike...Now after so many years several of these houses are for sale by the owners who found that their dream perception of living in the country isn't all what it was cracked out to be...Great entry and you have my vote!

Maybe it will come to a halt. The economy is not doing good. Nobody want to buy a house now. Anyway, great shot and sentiments, Joerg. My vote!
