One thing I can do nothing about.
Benji and I met because of a funeral. A young mutual friend taken before he hit 27. We were asked to play a song together. Less than half a year later Benji was taken in a skateboarding accident at 19. I was asked to play the same song for Benji's funeral. Benji was a big fan of Taking Back Sunday. Following the graveside service another of his friends was playing "New American Classic" by a tree next to the grave. As I sang the lyrics in my head one phraze rang in my ears "There's one thing I can do nothing about"/

Oh, so true...that IS the ONLY thing in life that we can be sure of. Sad that had to happen to get this most poetic of shots.
