The sky is awesome, but when shooting skateboarding you usually have a 1/250th of a second window to actually make the shot. Atleast in the perspective of the sport and people who know what's going on. It's all about how the skateboarder looks, 'the' fraction in his movement which defines the trick. In this one the skater is somewhat iffy and out of place, at least for the skateboarding eye.
