It was part of the "Green Tokyo Project" organized by Tokyo City Government. They built this 18m (60 ft) high Gundam (from a famous robot anime). It's been displayed for a month only and hundreds and thousands of people visited Odaiba to see it everyday.

too bad they took it down at the end of august. but i think they are going to transport it to somewhere else and exhibit again. i'm sure you will take a look next time you visit japan. -
