Everything was difficult to remove, but the personal
stuff.....
Of course, I took shots of every nook and cranny of the apartment, and stopped to reminisce about each one methodically--even the toothbrush and Denture Cream.
Everyone calls the photographer crazy, but can't thank them enough
years later. Yes, they even want to see the toothbrush!
I just wish he had had the courage to say goodbye--never mind say, I love you.
I know he did; we made peace years ago, and for that alone I'm most grateful.
Peace out, peace in.

I've heard it too, "the photographer's crazy" and you are right, after, maybe years after the hereafter, people revel in the paper (or pixels), cherishing every nook and cranny, thanking the heavens someone snapped these memories. well done!
