Awesome image. Certainly not the usual image of Florence...Wow this is good, so much to see, so perfectly arranged

I Love this Patrick. Another great one of Firenze. But you know we photographers love to talk about "the story" (pictures that tell a story) and sometimes human interest adds (usually) and sometimes it detracts. This picture is one of those (and this is in no way a criticism because I think its still great as it is) where if somebody were just in THAT doorway with the graffitied diver (?)'s air tube at mouth height it would be sensational! Don't you think? A person smoking in the doorway. A little old lady just standing there thinking about life. A man entering the building... perhaps on an illicit liaison. The human interest would certainly add so long as it retained what you have captured here which is a cleanliness out of a, frankly, pretty disorderly street.

I've almost a mind to book myself on the next coach down to Florence, find this street and camp out all day just to get that shot. Now the summer tourists have largely dispersed it'd be the perfect time to do it!

I love the tones. Everything is kind of the same color but that brown in the door just pops out.
