Ted Says it's Done
Teddy Roosevelt, when first made governor of New York, was given a tour of the new Capitol.
By this time, the cost of the building had exceeded the cost of the Nation's capitol building in D.C. by quite a few million dollars, with elaborate handcarved granite and sandstone stairs, halls, rooms, toilet seats...
At Ted's time, the building was about 99% complete.
After his tour, he proclaimed it finished, and there's still a few places in the building where you can see a carving half complete.
After his proclamation, Ted personally delivered ass-kickings to several contractors, thier families, and some of their neighbors. He also implemented the ritualistic monthly punch in the face for all state assembly members.
Ted "I'll kick your ass, too" Roosevelt, such a subtle soul.

I appreciate the shot and the story behind it. Makes you think about the stories behind most of the things we shoot.
