While walking this was on the path and usually in this situation I would run the other way, funny how things are so different when your have the camera around your neck

    And he is so friendly! Did you see him in Virginia? I guess Black Snakes are native to Virginia, but it's been a long time since I tramped the Virginia countryside.

    Amazing shot! I would have been half-way down the street before you even removed the lens cap!! It's true what you say. I have a friend who was a photo journalist with the army and covered numerous battles. He said that in combat, the photographers felt invisible because they had their cameras in front of their faces.
