Drum Line
Mexican schools are highly militaristic and follow strict traditions, not only within the educational system, but within their own school. Instead of a multi instrument band, the drum and bugle corps are the face of the school. Most cadences are fairly similar and are learned at an early age. They are viewed with cheer and much respect from the general public. When we in El Paso have our parades and a Juarez drum and bugle corps shows up, the crowd erupts in appreciation.
