Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

November Moon over The Inn at Cedar Falls in Hocking Hills, Ohio. The Inn is one of those special places where artists tend to gravitate. There is a positive, creative energy there, and this time of year is when it is particularly strong.

Great Picture!! How do you get your moon in such detail?

Thanks Mark. It's a double exposure. The Inn shot with a 70-200mm and the Moon with a 500mm. A full Moon is incredibly bright, so I shoot it way underexposed (at least according to the camera meter). The full Moon was in fact right in that spot, but with the 70-200mm it would have appeared about 1/4 of the size it appears in the finished image.
