I absolutely LOVE that you excluded the kiss itself from the photo. It really does 'go without saying' or in this case, 'say without showing'. Fabulous entry!!

As others have noted Sumna I love the fact that you have excluded the kiss itself from the shot. That's the genius in this image. The fleetingness of romance - stealing off from the main street into a back alley for a kiss (or more!) - is one of the greatest mysteries of this thing called love. When people say "it never lasts" they are, more or less, right. It doesn't but its like a drug. However, as photographers - or more precisely - photojournalists - we can capture this fleetingness and make it enduring, permanent. Give those butterflies in the stomach a memorial. After all, isn't that what a bloke called Doisneau did?

A photo of Robert Doisneau's most famous photograph; Le baiser de l'hôtel de ville (bit.ly)

"The marvels of daily life are exciting; no movie director can arrange the unexpected that you find in the street." Robert Doisneau. I concur. And (yet) another reason why I doubt I'll ever become a studio photographer!

OK - so this is not the street but this is my take on Doisneau! (jpgmag.com)

Thank you all SO much for your props and comments. :)
Thank you Ben, I always look forward to your comments and see what you think. I looked up Doisneau, and what an exceptional photographer he was. His straightforward, almost blunt but always sensitive approach reminds me of your photos quite a bit, I can see why you admire him.
"Fleetingness of romance", yes that is true. Though as much as I long to be practical I am far too much of a romantic to be successful in that endeavour. :) I like butterflies, they really are so pretty. haha Thank you again for your comments -

The "he" needs to be a bit more intimate.
For some reason, his legs & shoes stand out to me. They seem static, stiff.
Whereas "she" is leaning in, putting pressure on him.
Wonderful framing though. Try it again!
(maybe him lifting her up to him?) -
