Our freezer is not freezing like it should. Before we go and buy another one I am cleaning the coils to see if that helps. This refrigerator/freezer is 23 years old and has been repaired a few times and other small things are wearing out. If this doesn't help then it is time to replace it.

Let me know if it works! Also, I want the name brand!!!!! 23 years, that is incredible!!! I have had my fridge four years now (GE Profile) and the repair guy has been here twice...the first time was 6 months after the purchase date!

I have a 17-year old Kitchenaid that works flawlessly. I'm a fanatic about keeping it clean, and pull it out monthly to clean behind it, but in my mind, a little prevention works wonders! I sure hope yours ends up working well for you. I have to tell you when I saw the thumbnail, I couldn't wait to click on the photo to see what the heck you were doing!! LOL

Great SP! We had our old Sears refrigerator from 1971 until 2008 when it finally wore out..but I sure love our new Maytag which is very efficient. I wondered too what you were doing on the floor before I read your text...I thought maybe you passed out, Ann! Glad all is well except for your freezer.

Wow, apart from a great SP that fridge has really paid for itself time and time again! As an Insurance Assessor we would only allow a life span of 12 years, maybe your Insurer might triple it Ann:)
