reindeer calf tagging
I caught this while spending some time with the Sami people inside the Arctic Circle north of Lulea, Sweden. The reindeer are semi-domesticated. They are tended to by the Sami but they roam free in the woods. On this day a calf was being tagged so it can be identified later. It is rare for outsiders to see this ceremony.
